The City of Borger is gearing up for its annual Boomtober Fest, scheduled for October 10-12, 2025. A highlight of the festival is the "Live @ the Dome ~ Battle of the Bands" competition, offering over $30,000 in prizes, including a grand prize of $15,000. This high-energy event provides emerging artists a platform to showcase their talents and gain exposure. We're advancing 15 artists this time around, with 3 protected spots for 806 musicians!
In the previous year's competition, the top five bands included Divided Me, Slugg Nutt, Ghost of Gray County, Our Last Daze, and JT & the Blacktops. Spencer Crandall headlined the event, with Yung Joc serving as a celebrity judge.
Boomtober Fest also features a car cruise, burn-out contest, air fly-in and car show, carnival, and a Sunday family day with a fish fry and power wheels race! You won't want to miss this!
